Build With Purpose. Work Safely. Deliver With Discipline.

At Gorman, your work matters. We build marine, bridge, deep foundation and heavy civil infrastructure along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts — complex, demanding work where safety, planning and accountability come first. It takes two kinds of professionals to deliver: the crews who build in the field and the team that supports them from the office. Wherever you fit, you’ll join a family-run company that’s grown over the past decade from a local marine contractor into a recognized builder of complex infrastructure, without ever losing the standard it started with: do the job right and stand behind it.

Why Work at Gorman

  • Real, complex work. From waterfront marine structures to bridges, deep foundations and heavy civil projects, the work here is hands-on, high-skill and genuinely challenging.
  • Room to grow. Gorman built its crews, equipment and expertise from the ground up. As the company has taken on bigger work, its people have grown right alongside it.
  • A company that brings you home. Safety here isn’t a poster on the wall. Every person goes home uninjured at the end of the day — that’s the standard, and it’s non-negotiable.
  • Family values, lived daily. Gorman competes at the highest level while staying grounded in the values it was founded on: integrity, community and doing right by the people it works with.
  • Benefits that back you up.

Our Culture

We lead with respect — for the work, for each other and for the people who count on what we build. Leadership stays close to the job, not removed from it, and the person closest to the work has real authority. Every crew member holds Stop Work Authority: if something isn’t right, you stop the work, no approval needed and no retaliation. We train everyone to spot hazards, we listen when they speak up and we celebrate the coworker who catches a small problem before it becomes a big one. As Justin Gorman, our President and CEO, puts it: “Nothing we do is more important than making sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.”

Our People

Safety is the Standard

From leadership to the newest hire, every person on a Gorman project shares responsibility for a safe, healthy jobsite. Our approach doesn’t change from one project to the next, and it holds everyone to the same standard, including our subcontractors. We measure ourselves against one goal: zero injuries. Not fewer injuries, not a lower incident rate. Zero. It’s the only acceptable standard, and we track it on every job.
