When a storm makes landfall, Gorman is ready to move. We provide emergency response and disaster recovery construction to government agencies, municipalities, and property owners across the Southeast and Gulf Coast, from immediate debris removal to full infrastructure restoration. We have deep experience under emergency contracts, working alongside major disaster recovery prime contractors and directly with public agencies on federally funded programs.
Capabilities
Debris Removal: Rapid mobilization for storm debris removal and disposal on public and private property, compliant with FEMA reimbursement documentation requirements.
Emergency Infrastructure Repair: Emergency stabilization and repair of roads, bridges, seawalls, bulkheads, and marine infrastructure damaged by storms.
Marine Disaster Recovery: Clearance and restoration of damaged marine facilities, waterways, and coastal infrastructure after hurricanes and tropical storms.
Site Restoration: Grading, drainage repair, and site restoration to return property and infrastructure to pre-storm condition.

Gorman maintains heavy equipment resources, including excavators, debris haul trucks, marine equipment, and field support infrastructure, that can be deployed quickly across the Southeast and Gulf Coast after a major storm.
Safety & Compliance
Disaster environments are inherently hazardous. Gorman teams are trained to work safely in post-storm conditions, including downed power lines, unstable structures, contaminated water, and debris-laden waterways. We brief crews on the hazards before every shift, and safety protocols do not get suspended because a situation is urgent.
