Transportation & Bridges

Our Services

We build the roads and bridges the public drives on everyday.

Gorman delivers roadway and bridge construction for public agencies and municipalities across the Southeast. We self-perform the work, from new construction to full rehabilitation, with DOT-compliant crews that consistently meet schedule, specification, and safety requirements. Our clients are state and local transportation agencies, including state DOTs, county road departments, and municipal owners.

Key Considerations and Expertise

Gorman is DOT-qualified across a broad range of work classes, from roadway and bridge construction to structural specialty work, waterway infrastructure, and emergency debris removal, and we continue to expand our DOT qualifications across the states we serve. That breadth is real, self-performed capability, not a subcontractor list. Our field leadership brings decades of experience on state and county transportation projects across the Southeast, and our crews know the documentation, compliance, and quality standards state DOTs require from first mobilization through final acceptance.

Safety and Compliance

Work-zone safety is non-negotiable. Gorman crews are trained in DOT traffic control and maintenance-of-traffic standards, plan every phase around protecting workers and the traveling public, and run a documented safety-first culture on every job site. Safety is built into the schedule, not traded against it.
