Our Work
Palatka-Lake Butler State Trail
This $13 million, 630-day project converts a former railroad corridor into a new multi-use pedestrian and recreational trail spanning approximately 6.2 miles. The existing deteriorated wood bridge structure is being replaced with a new bridge foundation consisting of 7,450 linear feet (75 piles) of 18-inch steel pipe piles, 620 cubic yards of substructure concrete, 150 concrete flat slab beams, and 180 cubic yards of superstructure topping.
Trail roadway improvements include a new storm drainage system, slope stabilization, 49,000 square yards of optional base course, 61,000 square yards of stabilization, and 3,800 tons of new asphalt pavement. The project is currently 22% complete with an anticipated completion date of July 2027.
