Norriego Point Recreation Enhancement
Gorman completed the $5.3 million Norriego Point Recreation Enhancement project in Destin, Florida. The project included construction of an 11,819-square-foot harbor boardwalk, three dune walkovers, a boardwalk entrance, pavilion access path, and six harbor access stairs. Shoreline stabilization required installation of 11,425 square feet of articulated concrete block matting, 15,590 square feet of turf reinforcement matting, site grading, and placement of 737 cubic yards of imported sand fill. Additional scope included construction of restroom and pavilion facilities, ADA beach access, a packaged lift station, water and sewer connections, site electrical, signage, and other public recreation improvements.
